The spotlight has functional, strength, durability, and appearance requirements. 

• Internal shafts and bevel gears  in the support arm produce the rotational movement of the spotlight head.

• The assembly has to withstand applied loads from both wind resistance and normal wear-and-tear. 

The spotlight must retain mechanical motion, electrical function, and an untarnished, professional appearance across a wide range of temperatures and weather exposures.
