Zinc Alloy ZAMAK #3
  • The Zinc alloy ZAMAK #3 is the most widely used zinc die casting alloy.  
  • It has a lower cost than other zinc alloys under consideration, because it is not alloyed with copper. 
    • ZAMAK #3 has 4% Aluminum and 0.035% Magnesium.
  • The alloy meets all the performance requirements -- mechanical strength, impact strength,  conductivity, dimensional accuracy,  and machinability.
The  ZAMAK #3 zinc alloy is the best choice.
