Core Pins

amc.gif (6172 bytes)

The tooling cost of two core pins in the die for this large a production run will have lower per-part cost than the alternative of added machining steps for the two bolt holes in each die casting.

The holes created by core pins have less likelihood of being out of location- tolerances over the duration of thousands of parts being produced.

Both core pins are coated for wear resistance and to prevent sticking/ soldering between the casting and the pins.

The two core pins in the die are the most cost effective method of producing the holes in the heat sink block.
